Ask Me About My Research
Ask about Dr Afli's research, publications, projects, supervision or talks. Every answer comes only from this website's verified records, always shows its sources, and says clearly when the answer is not known — it never invents information.
Answers are retrieved from indexed records only. Nothing you type is stored or sent to any server. How this works.

How Ask Me works
Ask Me is a Human-Centred AI feature designed for trust rather than fluency. It runs entirely in your browser using a retrieval index built from this site's verified data (publications, projects, talks, supervision and pages). It does not use a generative language model, so it cannot fabricate, paraphrase incorrectly, or hallucinate. Every answer is a set of real records, each with a link to its authoritative source and a retrieval confidence score you can inspect.
What it does
- Grounded retrieval. It ranks indexed records against your question and returns the closest matches, with citations.
- Cross-language. A curated glossary maps key terms in several languages to the same research themes, so a question in Arabic, French or Irish reaches the same records as English.
- Explainable. Each result shows why it was returned (matched terms), its confidence, and when the record was last built.
- Honest. If nothing is confidently relevant, it says so and points you to the right section, rather than guessing.
- Private. No tracking, no cookies, no server calls. Your question stays in your browser for the session only.
